Ladee Storem: Thank you for being
a part of Center Stage Magazine,
with such a God gifted talent…believe me
I’m honored to interview you.
Tell the readers about your CD “Trials
and Tribulations” and give us a
testimony about your trials?
Lyricist: My CD “Trials and
Tribulations” is about my life and
everything I've been through in my life
that leads me to where I am today. A lot
of my friends have been killed or doing
time in prison, while growing up in
Omaha Nebraska believe it or not it was
very dangerous even though I was bought
up in church sense early child hood.

A lot of kids
think when they reach a certain
age they know it all, so I
started running with the wrong
crowd getting into trouble and
fighting, basically going down
the wrong road and living life
on the edge until I turned 24
years old. I started looking
back on my life and realized
that God spared me for a reason.
The reason was to take all the
gifts and talents I’ve been
blessed with and share it with
the world and try and reach
others, so they may see the
light and not have to go down
the same road that I traveled
down.
Ladee
Storem: On your Myspace page
you have three songs titled
“What If,” “Love Me Like You”
and “Dear Heavenly Father”
what’s the meaning behind those
spiritual lyrics?
Lyricist: I want to reach
others and let them know that
they’re not the only one that’s
going through what they’re going
through…and to let them know
that I understand and Jesus died
for us and he loves us all and
to put your trust in him. He
will carry us through the storm.
Ladee Storem: Your music
adds a different feel to Holy
Hip Hop. Not only are you
rapping, you sing also. Did you
grow up in church singing in the
choir? Tell the readers at what
point in your life, you decided
to rap for the Lord.
Lyricist: Yes, during my
childhood my mom had me and my 5
brothers and two sisters singing
in church. When I was a teenager
at the age of 15 I started
learning how to play the
keyboard and learning how to
rap. I went from doing love
songs to gangster hip hop not
realizing what kind of influence
it would have on others. After I
realized how powerful music was
I ask my Lord and Savior to
forgive me for my wrongs and I
thank him for sparing my life
and giving me a second chance in
life. I’ve been doing spiritual
hip-hop for over 10 years, since
I’ve been saved.
Ladee Storem: Now tell me
about your image? You know in
the music industry you have to
have a slamming style in music
and with your looks… you have a
unique image for Holy Hip Hop,
what’s the meaning behind the
style?
Lyricist: I started
growing my goatee in 1992 not
really knowing what kind of
impact it would have on my
mission to reach people. I
finally realized my image plays
a big part, in what I’m doing.
We as people shouldn’t judge one
another by their looks, because
only God knows what’s in your
heart and mind. Basically you
can not judge a book by its
cover.
Ladee Storem: Where can
the readers purchase your CD?
Tell us about the label your
with, upcoming shows and HOOK US
UP WITH YOUR MYSPACE INFO!
Lyricist: My fans can log
on to my website and buy my CD
“Trials & Tribulations,” off the
site with a credit card for now.
The CD will be released some
time next year through Soul Food
Music. Visit my website for more
information, log on to
www.myspace.com/thelyricisttheforceofone
and read up about
future shows and events. I
recently signed with Soul Food

sharing our testimonies with the
world.
Ladee Storem: Thank you
Lyricist, I love your music and
your message that you’re sharing
in your Ministry. Keep doing
what you do for the Lord and
believe me my brother your
blessing will over flow!
Once again I’m giving you THE
GOSPEL 411….It’s your girl…until
next time…I’ll Hollar!
