I've Kissed the Mountain Top.
As the spirit of a giant's mind, I'm laying on down to the Earth's warm ground.
I do it for the sake of mankind.
Using my bushy chin, as a cushy cushion, I'm inviting you I suppose.
To take a walk up the bridge of my nose.
Look into my third eye, and see what I see,
I see people of all races, with different faces, from different places, holding hands in a chain that reconnects man.
I see little boys and girls,
Playing with different little boys and girls.
They're intermingled and intertwined Within that circle that surrounds mankind.
I see the world in one harmonious band.
I see old people, and young people, working all together, like more than one feather, able to endure the downpour from raining weather.
And like a pair of angel wings, they're nearly weightless once the rain quits, and we sing, "Never more, Never more."
As I press my lips against the mountainside,
Use my nose as a board, then slide,
Back to the world,
Where little boys and girls,
Are hungry,
Look from atop the mountain and see what I see.
I see racism, rapists, cameras ready to tape this,
crack addict moms working the late shift as a waitress, can't even afford shoes from Payless.
And still, it adds up to we only pray less.
Does that make sense?
Praying is priceless.
Shouldn't we be praying more?
To Jesus, Jah, Allah, Jehovah, or whoever's your,God.
