Mental Fitness
For long term success we have to give 100 percent everyday! Once we learn to mentally focus we will always be motivated! When we are busy all of the time but not getting anything accomplished, we aren’t mentally focused! It’s great to have ambition and many aspirations, but to reach our goals we have to maintain focus during the process. Focus means following your step by step plan for a goal without deviation! This doesn’t mean we don’t have any freedom to make changes. We just have to make sure all changes are in line with our ultimate goal. Meditation and writing down thoughts and plans will help us focus! When we are focused we can experience the beauty of the road to our goals. When we go into an experience, we wrap our minds, bodies, and souls around the concept and stick to it! If we get a little off track, we must dig deeper into our goal. Why was it a goal in the first place? What are the benefits of pushing through the hard times? What rewards will we enjoy when we reach our goal? The focus that we apply now will bring us great joys down the road! We have to set priorities and focus on them one step at a time until completion. If we are committed to our goal, maintaining focus will keep us from distractions and wasting time and energy. We have to have faith we will reach our goal! We have to be strong and withstand the tests of time to reach the finish line!

Spiritual Fitness

“What we think, we are! If we can believe it, we can achieve it! Life is just a state of mind” We have expectations stemming from birth. We usually form beliefs based on our experiences. It means more to make experience based on or beliefs. Our expectations color the way we view life! The Law of Expectations states that what we believe, or expect, overtime, at the deepest or subconscious level, tends to shape our external reality. Energy is in everything! Our mind shapes our energy into form and color (the filters through which we see the world.) Since birth we have stored expectations into our subconscious. What ever we believe, we can find evidence to support because at some point in time we filed it in our subconscious. If we think the world is ugly, we will see mostly ugliness. If we think the world is beautiful, despite turmoil and pollution, we will see the world’s beauty. What we expect appears in our life because we set in motion psychophysical forces necessary for its existence!

If we expect to live long, we will! If we really believe something deep down, it is in our subconscious. If we only worry about something or brush ideas along, it is in our consciousness but not necessarily our subconscious. If you want a relationship, but expect not to have one then you won’t have a productive one. If you expect a good job and wealth, but don’t think you will ever get it, you won’t. If you had the love and wisdom you desire, how would you act? Act that way and let it transform your subconscious! Current problems reveal negative expectations and our current reality reveals our expectations!  We have to notice when contradictory thoughts hop into our minds and change them! We have to realize that we shape our own lives by what we expect!

Physical Fitness
Yoga is one of my favorite exercises for flexibility because it works all your joints, tendons, and ligaments! It also massages internal organs and aids in detoxification by increasing blood flow throughout the body! Yoga is a calming practice and allows a powerful connection with all of the levels of fitness. The meditation and mantras practiced with yoga enhances its benefit.

Start standing with your feet together!
Bring your hands to prayer position
Inhale and raise your hands above head
Exhale and swan dive to your toes
Inhale as you bring your arms back over your head
Come back to prayer position
Repeat 5 times
Stand with your feet together
Squat and bring your hands to the floor
Sit Indian style or your most comfortable position
Bring your wrist to your knees
Relax your shoulders and quiet your mind
Meditate for 5 minutes
Repeat this entire exercise every morning!
