This means specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound. For
example: “Everyday I will practice mental fitness
for 10 minutes, spiritual fitness for 20 minutes and
physical fitness for 30 minutes.” Practicing
everyday will increase my total fitness consistently
throughout my lifetime! Now that we have a strong
fit core, let’s explore other goals. What kind of
family do we want? What kind of career do we want?
What kind of education do we want? What amount of
financial security do we want? What kind of pleasure
do we want? What kind of expression do we want? What
kind of public service do we want to do? All of our
goals can be explored and spread out over a
lifetime! When we evaluate each one, and explore the
action steps it takes to achieve each one, we will
find a sense of accomplishment with each step! Life
will never be boring because we will always be
accomplishing new goals!
Spiritual Fitness
Freedom of choice is our God given right! We
consciously or unconsciously chose what we consider
reality. The Law of Choices addresses our power and
responsibility to choose how we respond to our
circumstances. We are all responsible for our own
actions and reactions. We may be influenced by
outside forces, but we make the decision to resist
or give in. We have the power of choice! We can
choose to be positive or negative. We can take the
easy road or the hard mountain. Life doesn’t just
happen to us! We are responsible for creating our on
reality! If we don’t like our job, friends, or
purpose then we have to make better choices so that
we have better outcomes! We choose what we want and
don’t want in our lives! We can choose to create
beauty in the world and express our talents to
benefit the universe. Or, we can withdraw from
society, bicker about the world around us, and
stifle our talents away. It’s our choice!
Life is full of opportunities and choices. The more
opportunities we take and the better choices we
make, the better our lives will be!
Physical Fitness
Cardiovascular training can be aerobic or anaerobic.
Aerobic means with oxygen and anaerobic means
without. A list of benefits from aerobic exercise
resembles that obtained with growth hormone: gain of
muscles and strength, loss of fat, increased energy,
greater well being and a decrease in anxiety and
depression. Aerobic exercise, also increases the
level of HDL cholesterol, lowers blood pressure,
improves immune system and helps protect the body
against a host of diseases, including cardiovascular
diseases, stroke, hypertension, diabetes, and
osteoporosis. Please before you inject yourself with
growth hormone or pop another weight loss pill, do
my interval training 3 times a week in addition to
your daily 10-30 minutes of cardio!
10 min warm-up
5 min total body stretching
Sprint 50 meters (guessamate)
Walk back to your start
Repeat 5 times!
Cool down 10 minutes
This should only take 30 minutes total! Make
time!
