Living Great in 2008!

This year is our year to shine! Time to put all the lessons we’ve learned to use and really make a difference and our lives! Yes! It’s time for a revelation! We all know what’s right and what’s wrong! When we do something wrong we will not make excuses for ourselves this year! We will immediately make it right!

Mental Fitness
Let’s ask ourselves what our purpose is. Wouldn’t you like to live the best life you know how to live? So no matter what other goals or objectives we have our man focus is to live with integrity. If we know what’s right why don’t we do it? We know our purpose in life is to enjoy it to the fullest and give to the universe our talents and love. Living with the purpose of having the best life possible guides us to act accordingly. We must do what’s best for our families, loved ones, and most importantly, ourselves!     .:read more:.

The way we act and the things we do have to show that we are living the best life we know how to live. The only thing constant in life is change. With every changing day we have to ask ourselves “Are we living the best life we know how to live?”  If you answer is “no” we have to change or leave our current situation, acknowledging the lessons learned, and move on to a better life. We have to be open to the universe as it teaches us and shows us better ways to live and love as a whole. We must not be selfish and keep all good things to ourselves without giving back to the universe that gave to us. The universe gives us life, light, and direction. It is our choice in how we use these blessings!

Spiritual Fitness
Naturally, we will go through life experiencing many changes. We will have challenges that naturally occur to make us stronger. We have to embrace to process of going from where we are to where we what to be. If we learn enjoy each day as a beautiful step into our knowledge about the universe, we will be enjoying the process. We should be constantly learning, growing, and accepting. We all have goals. It is important to follow steps in order to reach our goals. We must look at every step as an essential part in reaching our goal. Every step is a lesson -good or bad- that will help us in life or when we reach our goal. In order to respect the law of process, we must realize that some things will come fast and others slow but the journey must be taken one step at a time. If we learn to enjoy the process, every minute of life is enjoyable because we are always growing, learning, or achieving. We must set a goal, research the steps it will take to achieve the goal; mentally, spiritually, and physically prepare for the journey it will take to reach that goal, and enjoy the process!

 Physical Fitness
Everyday we a twisting, walking, running, and moving our bodies in different ways, we have to be flexible to prevent injury and posture imbalances. Everyday activities can cause muscles to tighten, over stretch, and suffer from non use; we have to make sure we maintain a full range of motion so that we can move without any stiffness, aching, or injury. No matter how flexible we are now, we can all improve! Through regular exercises on a daily basis we will notice our flexibility increase dramatically. Slow and steady will give us the results we want in no time! So every morning for at least 5 minutes we should work on increasing our flexibility!

 
  Healthy Recipes  

Carrot Zinger
4 carrots (1 cup carrot juice)

2 T of ginger juice (1 inch)
4 T lemon juice (one lemon)
Lots of Love!

 Juice half of a lemon in electrical juicer or with hand. Juice all other ingredients in power juicer. Stir in 1 T of lemon juice and add more according to desired zing! Enjoy!

 

Sweet and Sassy Spinach Salad
4 cups baby spinach
1 carrot
1 beet
1 T coconut oil
1 T lemon juice
1 t agave
1 t dulse
1 t sesame seeds
¼ t cayenne
Lots of Love! 

Chop spinach to desired consistency. Juice lemon with electric juicer or hand. Mix oil, lemon, dulse, cayenne, and agave. Massage this mixture into spinach and place on a plate. Shred carrot and beet to top salad. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
